Failure

First quarter is not just stressful for everyone, it is really stressful for seniors.  This time in our lives is really overwhelming because of college applications.  We have this constant feeling of stress about getting into college.  I know for me, I always get really stressed when I think about college because I don't know if I am going to get into my top school.  Failure to me would be letting my parents down by not getting accepted into any of the schools that I applied to.  They want me to succeed and do well in life.  I would definitely let them down if I did not get into college.

My idea for my photo was to show how a student is getting declined from a school. This represents failure to me.  My mom represents the student.  There is a pencil, pen, and a letter opener on the desk to show how she is opening up her letter.  The word “declined” is written boldly on the paper to show how harsh and negative it is being declined by a school.  The angle of this photo helps give the photo some dimension. My mom's face is covered up by her hands to show how she is embarrassed and upset about being declined.
