Good memories are key to a happy childhood.  Having things to look forward to can really make your childhood special.  I know for me, Halloween was a very exciting time in my life because I could dress up and be anything/anyone I wanted to be for a day.  The thought of choosing a costume, getting candy, and being with friends really excited me.  The idea as kids is to know that you can be anything or do anything as long as you put your mind to it.

My picture is about how children believe that they can be anything they want to be when they grow up.  I captured the idea that children can be whoever they want to be, even if it is for just one day. My mom in the picture represent a child putting on minnie mouse ears on Halloween.  She is wearing minnie mouse ears because the color in the headband makes the picture “pop”.  I told my mom to stand in front of the door and pretend like she in the action of putting the headband on.  The contrast in the picture also adds to the quality of the photo.  Her hands show that she is physically putting on the headband (minnie mouse ears).  It is an overall cute, simple, and realistic photo that I really enjoyed shooting.
